From top to bottom:
Purity by Jackson Pearce -- For Review from Little, Brown Books for Young Readers
Yes, without the dust jacket Purity is actually white (the dust jacket being blue) and I'm really excited to be able to review it! Admittedly I have a few more reviews to type up before I can get to it, but I'm definitely excited to read it and I can't wait to share my thoughts with you!
A Temptation of Angels by Michelle Zink -- Purchased
It's no great secret that I adore Michelle's writing style--and I loved her Prophecy series. So I'm really, really excited to have finally picked up a copy and this is jumping to the front of my TBR pile because I've actually been dying to get my hands on a copy--as B&N didn't carry it, I went to Mysterious Galaxy (Redondo Beach) to get one.
Starters by Lissa Price -- Purchased
If you follow my blog then you've probably seen my review for Starters go up a while ago and there are two reasons as to why I picked up a finished copy. What are they? I love how shiny the cover is and it happened to be the pick for the YA book group at Mysterious Galaxy last month. Also, no, this isn't that recent of a purchase--I just forgot to add it to my IMM post last time.
Ripper by Stefan Petrucha -- Purchased
And this is the book group pick for the month--which is precisely why I picked up a copy. Admittedly this is probably a book that I wouldn't have picked up on my own, but I sincerely hope that I enjoy it. We'll see though--chances are I won't get around to reading it until closer to the next meeting.
And there you have it! If you're wondering why all of the hardcovers are dust jacket-less, it's because when I read hardcovers, I take them off--and then they stay in my art portfolio that I have which is huge and had no other purpose as I don't draw that often anymore. Why do I take them off? Because I hate it when they get bent or torn.
So, what did you get in your mailbox this week?
