Yes, it's that time of the week again! It's Follow Friday which is hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read. The question of the week is:
What would you prefer: reading your favorite book over and over again until you got sick of it OR reading 100s of mediocre books? And why?
To be honest, I'd much rather read my favorite book again and again until I got sick and tired of it. Why? Because I know it'd be an engrossing read and favorites tend to be favorites for a reason--namely, one's ability to read them again and again without getting tired of reading them. That, and I absolutely hate the feeling of "meh" that I get at the end of reading a mediocre book.
I know what you mean about being disappointed by a book by the end of it. But i chose the 100 book option anyway, because i think it would be a great way to truly appreciate my fav book.

Definitely my favorite book over and over again. I'd rather reread something like TFiOS a hundred times than read 100 books that do nothing for me.
ReplyDeleteSame here! I'd read The Hunger Games over and over again but I'm not bored yet.

I do wonder about getting sick of my favourite book, but there are always new angles and nuances to discover. Besides, I just can't bring myself to waste time with mediocre reads.

I agree. I love reading my favorite books again and again. Especially the 'good parts' - a favorite scene or a favorite line that gives me the warm fuzzies.

Check out my FF and Giveaway!
I understand, but I love discovering a new book, so I would have to choose the 100s of books, even if they were mediocre.

You're so right. I'd read my fav over and over too. Old follower.
ReplyDeleteAs much as I love my favorites, I went with the mediocre books. I'd be looking the one good book to add to my favorites.
