For Review:
Before I Go To Sleep by S.J. WatsonA big thanks to Harper for this one! It sounds really good and I can't wait to start reading it--although I'm forcing myself to (wait). They made a Facebook page for it too (facebook.com/beforeigotosleep.us) and they've been releasing little tidbits of the story as they gain fans (they're also giving away copies of Before I Go To Sleep over there from time to time).
The Borgia Betrayal by Sara Poole
Thank you to St. Martin's Griffin too for The Borgia Betrayal (and Reading Group Gold as well). I love historical fiction and can't wait to dive in.
Not Pictured:
All the Things You Are by Courtney SheinmelI got this from Simon & Schuster's Galley Grab program and I really like the sound of the storyline--plus I've been on the lookout for contemporary stories lately.
He's So Not Worth It by Kieran Scott
Another book from Simon & Schuster's Galley Grab. I actually just realized that it's the second book in a series (I know, I know, I should pay more attention to these things), but it sounds pretty darn good too--I may have to run out and locate a copy of the first book (or maybe I'll just risk it and read out of order).
Hereafter by Tara Hudson
This is actually the first HarperTeen book that I've been accepted for on NetGalley, so thank you HarperTeen! I'm really looking forward to seeing how the storyline works itself out--considering the fact that the main character is a ghost.
Sometimes It Happens by Lauren Barnhol
Another book from Simon & Schuster's Galley Grab in my never ending quest to find contemporary romances that I like. I've actually finished reading it and my review will be up on the blog in July.
The Lost Crown by Sarah Miller
The last book I picked up from Simon & Schuster's Galley Grab this month. I love, love, love this particular period of time for the Imperial Russian family. Well, let's just say that as a girl, I watched Anastasia a lot--and did projects on her, etc. Needless to say, I'm looking forward to reading this.
The Wild Rose by Jennifer Donnelly
Thank you Hyperion and NetGalley! I actually own the first two books in this series--and I've read both of them--so I'm really excited to read the third book!
And yes, I got bookmarks--they're signed! Thank you so much to Kiki Hamilton for sending them! They were actually waiting for me when I got home today (our city has an annual Armed Forces Day parade) and I promptly ran off to my room with them.
So there you have it, that's what was in my mailbox this week! Admittedly I still really, really don't like to read on my computer (although I have to for e-ARCs) because I get distracted by everything! I'm not alone, right? I'll start tweeting, bumming around Facebook, and browsing through GoodReads when I know I should be reading. Also, welcome new followers! I'll be doing my best to stop by your blogs later tonight and into tomorrow. Since Armchair BEA is coming up this week for those of us who can't make it out to BEA, you'll get to learn a little more about me as the week progresses. To everyone going to BEA, I'm jealous--but extremely excited for you! I hope you have a blast and I can't wait to see who you met and what you got!
So, what did you get in your mailbox this week? :D
I'm taking part in armchair BEA too, looking forward to seeing your posts for it! I also have hereafter for review, so I hope we both enjoy it =]
ReplyDeleteNice haul!!
ReplyDeleteI received The Lost Crown a while ago, but hadn't had the time to read it yet.
All your books sound really good. I hope you enjoy them all. :)
Check out what's in my mailbox! :)
