Winter/Spring 2012; The List

Why am I posting a list of books? Partially for me to look back at so I remember what's coming out when and partially for you to know what I'm looking forward to/a way for you to add books onto your TBR list. This list is accurate as of 8/10/2011; publication dates are indeed subject to change.

Oh! And all the titles are links that will send you to their Goodreads pages. Also, the list is organized by publication month, date, and then it's in alphabetical order. Lastly, you also have my short notes.

Clockwork Prince by Cassandra Clare - 12/6/11 (Margaret K. Elderberry/Simon & Schuster)
Second book in the Infernal Devices series. Victorian Era. Steampunk elements. Paranormal.

Legacy by Molly Cochran - 12/20/11 (Paula Wiseman Books/Simon & Schuster)

The Secret Sisterhood of Heartbreakers by Lynn Weingarten - 12/27/11 (HarperTeen/HarperCollins)
Having to hook a boy and break his heart in the next days? Interesting. The fact that magic is involved? Sold.

Everneath by Brodi Ashton - 1/3/12 (Balzer + Bray/HarperCollins)
Retelling of Hades & Persephone. Love triangle. Stunning cover.

Fracture by Megan Miranda - 1/3/12 (Walker Books for Young Readers/Bloomsbury Walker)

Fantasy. Main character can see into the future. Romance. Also, a prophecy.

A Million Suns by Beth Revis - 1/10/12 (Razorbill/Penguin Group)
Second book in the Across the Universe series. Loved the first book--also, really need to post my full review. D: Science Fiction. Dystopian.

The Book of Blood and Shadow by Robin Wasserman - 1/10/12 (Random House Children's Books/Random House)
Secret societies.

Ditched by Robin Mellom - 1/10/12 (Disney-Hyperion)

The Gathering Storm by Robin Bridges - 1/10/12 (Delacorte Books for Young Readers/Random House)
Late 1800's. Main character is a necromancer. Love triangle. Actually, you should probably read the summary on Goodreads. Seriously, I am loving the sound of this book.

The Catastrophic History of You & Me by Jess Rothenberg - 1/17/12 (Dial/Penguin Group)
Main character is dead and has to go through the five stages of grief. Her heart? Broken due to ex-boyfriend. Also, I swear it looks lighter than it sounds if you read the whole summary.

Second book in the Unearthly trilogy. Loved the first book. Angels--main character is half angel.

The Way We Fall by Megan Crewe - 1/24/12 (Disney-Hyperion)

A million souls have continuously been reincarnated... except Ana's. She's a new soul and when she was born, another soul disappeared. Paranormal. Dystopian. Also, on the list of books that I'd love to read right now

They compared this to Anna and the French Kiss. Also, I think that the title is adorable. Contemporary. Romance.

Bloodrose by Andrea Cremer - 2/21/12 (Philomel/Penguin Group)
Last book in the Nightshade trilogy. A book that I want to read as soon as possible. If you've read Wolfsbane, you know exactly why I'm saying this.

The Marked by Inara Scott - 4/3/12 (Disney-Hyperion)
Second book in the Delcroix Academy series. Not too thrilled that they changed the covers. Sort of X-Men-ish.

Taken At Dusk by C.C. Hunter - 4/10/12 (St. Martin's Griffin)
Third book in the Shadow Falls series. Can't wait to see where things are going as I really enjoyed the first book.

Ghost Flower by Michele Jaffe - 4/12/12 (Razorbill/Penguin Group)
Thriller. Main character is impersonating a girl and ends up being haunted by that girls' best friend... who then proceeds to harm people close to her. Sounds really good.

Faeries! Plus I really enjoyed Haunting Violet which is also by Alyxandra Harvey.

  1. So many good books! Your TBR pile really will be multiplying! *laughs*

    Louise @ Between the Covers

  2. Oh, there were several on this list I hadn't heard of before but have now added to my tbr! Butterfly Clues sounds really awesome. Thanks so much for compiling this list and putting these books on my radar!

  3. I'm looking forward to all these dystopias, and especially the sequels to Across the Universe and The Iron Thorn. What's up with all the un-dead, afterlife, and angel-related books?

  4. My goodness, I can't even begin to think about winter/spring arcs yet! LOL.

Although I am dying to read the Infernal Devices series. I love anything steampunk.
