Waiting On Wednesday (28)

"Waiting On" Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.

Masque of the Red Death by Bethany Griffin

Summary via Goodreads:
Everything is in ruins.

A devastating plague has decimated the population. And those who are left live in fear of catching it as the city crumbles to pieces around them.

So what does Araby Worth have to live for?

Nights in the Debauchery Club, beautiful dresses, glittery make-up . . . and tantalizing ways to forget it all.

But in the depths of the club—in the depths of her own despair—Araby will find more than oblivion. She will find Will, the terribly handsome proprietor of the club. And Elliott, the wickedly smart aristocrat. Neither boy is what he seems. Both have secrets. Everyone does.

And Araby may find something not just to live for, but to fight for—no matter what it costs her.

Why am I waiting on Masque of the Red Death by Bethany Griffin? The cover is gorgeous and I am loving the sound of the plot. Seriously, asides from the fact that it's a dystopian, it just sounds fabulous.

Masque of the Red Death by Bethany Griffin is published by Greenwillow Books, an imprint of HarperCollins, and its expected publication date is April 24, 2012.

So, what are you waiting on this week? :D

  6. Cool! I'm waiting for this one too! What first drew me in was the title, since I love Poe. Then when I saw it was a dystopia I just about died. I quickly added it to my wish list :D

  10. This sounds so good and I love that cover. Do you know if there are any other references to the Poe story other than the title?
