If you haven’t read Paranormalcy yet, stop reading now—unless you don’t mind some spoilers.
As if life as an Empty One wasn’t bad enough, Evie’s dream of a perfectly normal life is turning out to be… boring. But when the IPCA needs her help again, she’ll have to face a serious dilemma. Does she decline because Lend and his father are against the IPCA? Or does she help them out to add a bit of excitement to her otherwise dull life? But the fun doesn’t stop there as Reth has reappeared in Evie’s life and he’s got some truths for her that will change everything.
I’m letting you know now that I really enjoyed Paranormalcy and as such, I had a feeling that I was going to enjoy Supernaturally. Was I right? Yes! Admittedly it started off a bit slow (in my opinion) but quickly picked up with the reappearance of Raquel and as such, the IPCA reappearing in Evie’s life—along with a boy named Jack, who seems to be more trouble than he’s worth. Really, I did not like Jack and just as I started to like him? Well, you’ll see. Honestly? I think he’s a tad suicidal.
I loved that we got to learn more about Arianna in Supernaturally and that we got to see a bit more of the Faerie Realms! We also got a healthy helping of Lend—although he hasn’t really continued to grow on me at this point—with a side of Reth.
Overall I really enjoyed Supernaturally and am looking forward to the last book in the trilogy Endlessly! If you haven’t read Paranormalcy yet, I’d definitely suggest giving it a go if you’re looking for paranormal that involves a highly unique female main character (with a penchant for the color pink and a love of tasers).
Overall Rating: ★★★★ and a half
