It's Follow Friday #21

Yes, it's that time of the week again! It's Follow Friday which is hosted by Parajunkee. The question of the week is:

If you could write yourself a part in a book, what book would it be and what role would you play in that book?

My immediate answer is that I have absolutely no idea what book I'd want to be written into. I mean, it'd be great to have been written into the Harry Potter series as a character who makes a brief cameo in each book--while doing something to (hopefully) help Harry. Maybe the only way that you'd recognize me would be by a glimpse of my hair or a particular color that I seem to enjoy wearing. Maybe even notes that I leave in my wake!

Although if I had to pick a different series--one that's not completed yet--I certainly wouldn't mind being a character in Myra McEntire's Hourglass! I have no idea exactly how I'd want to be written into it though. I mean, does one want to be a part of the mundane in such a great book? Eh, not really. But what "superpower" would I have? The ability to read and memorize books at an alarming rate? A photographic memory--to the point where I can recall absolutely everything that I've seen? I'm definitely drawing a blank there!
