Waiting On Wednesday (8)

"Waiting On" Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.

Still Waters by Emma Carlson Berne

Summary from GoodReads:
Hannah and Colin seem to have the perfect relationship, but as her second-to-last year of school draws to a close and Colin prepares to head off to college, Hannah feels he might be slipping away. She knows they need some real quality time alone if she’s going to hold on to him. So when she finds pictures of his old family lake house, she secretly schemes to get him there. But when they arrive, he’s not thrilled. Actually, he’s totally freaked out. And though she gets him to relax, his behavior become stranger by the day: he disappears for long stretches of the night, has a bizarre breakdown in a nearby diner, and when the car stops running, he seems completely unconcerned about fixing it. The lake house holds secrets, and what Hannah doesn’t know and Colin can’t remember just might kill them both.

Why am I waiting on Still Waters? Gorgeous cover with blue tones? Check. Plot that makes me want to read it now? Check. Overall, it looks like it should be a stunning read and the only downside is that it doesn't come out until December!

Still Waters by Emma Carlson Berne has an expected publication date of December 20, 2011 and is being published by Simon Pulse (a part of Simon & Schuster).

So, what are you waiting on this week? :D

  13. Yes! I forgot to add this one to my goodreads list the last time I saw it but you reminded me :). Yay!!!

It sounds so creepy and delightful and ahh! Also love that he goes away to college (so few novels focus on college!) and that the summary doesn't tell us what to expect--thrillers like that always entrance me :D. And like you said--the cover is SOO gorgeous.

Thank you so much! What a great choice :). I am going to go add it now so I don't forget again!
