It's Follow Friday! #10 and Blog Hop #7

Yes, it's that time of the week again! It's Follow Friday which is hosted by Parajunkee. The question of the week is:

What is/was your favorite subject in school?

Without a doubt, English and in terms of classes? I really, really loved Creative Writing and it makes me not so secretly wish that my focus was Creative Writing instead of Literature. Admittedly the one thing that I don't like about English is essays. I have never liked essays and I never expect to like essays. They've always been the bane of my existence.

Book Blogger Hop

Book Blogger Hop is hosted by Jen over at Crazy for Books and the question of the week is:

What book are you most looking forward to seeing published in 2011? Why are you anticipating that book?

If we're talking early in the year, I'd say that I'm most looking forward to Wither by Lauren DeStefano. Why? Because I really, really loved the storyline as well as the romance and the sister wives. Later in the year? The Near Witch by Victoria Schwab. I'm loving the storyline and thus far, I've only heard wonderful things about it!

  5. I don't mind essays, but I hate English essays because they are about anything. I'd rather have a question and write an essay about it like in history.

    New follower.

  8. I really want to check out Wither too. Is it a book in a series? I thought it was a stand alone but I don't know much about it. I just read the synopsis somewhere....

  9. I used to love English when I was studying it. I'm picking it back up again in September, and I'm strangely excited!

I'm looking forward to Wither as well. Mostly for the cover, but I also love dystopians.

  17. Hey, new follower from the hop :]

Ugh, essays! I think I would've enjoyed English much more, but essays always brought me down. I prefer the technical part of writing; I'm a stickler for punctuation/spelling. Hurray for proofreading :P
